Ingredients
2 lbs. steak of your choice
1/2 cup whiskey
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large bowl, mix together the whiskey, brown sugar, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Stir until combined.
Add the steak to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover the bowl and let the steak marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
Cook the steak for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the desired doneness is reached.
Serve the steak with your favorite side dishes.
Interesting Facts
Whiskey is a great marinade because the alcohol helps to break down the tough fibers of the steak, making it more tender.
The sugar in the marinade helps to caramelize the steak, giving it a delicious flavor.
The longer the steak marinates, the more flavorful it will be.
