- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan with butter.
- In a medium bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and flour. Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips. Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
