Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (12-ounce package) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just blended.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop batter into greased dishpan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
