Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in onion, celery, apples, sage, thyme, and pepper. Cook and stir 10 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
Mix in parsley, cranberries, pecans, and bread cubes. Pour in chicken broth, and mix until evenly moistened. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until top of stuffing is lightly browned.
