Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the vinegar, water, sugar, pepper, garlic powder and yellow mustard.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the hard-boiled eggs to the mixture and reduce the heat to low.
  4. Simmer the eggs for 5 minutes.
  5. Turn off the heat and let the eggs sit in the mixture for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the eggs from the mixture and place them in a container with a lid.
  7. Pour the remaining mixture over the eggs and let them cool to room temperature.
  8. Refrigerate the eggs for at least 24 hours before serving.
