Ingredients

  • 3-pound beef chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce

Directions

  1. Season the roast with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the roast and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer the roast to a slow cooker. Add the beef broth, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and cranberry sauce to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
