- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
