Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 quart ice cream, softened
- Toppings of your choice (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cake mix, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla extract.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely.
- Spread softened ice cream over cooled cake and freeze for at least 4 hours.
- Garnish with toppings of your choice (optional) and serve.
