Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the rice and raisins and cook, stirring often, until lightly toasted, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream. Serve warm.
