1 pound white fish fillet (cod, haddock, or halibut)
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 cup diced onion
2 tablespoons capers
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of the fish fillet.
Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, then turn over and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Pour the white wine, onion, capers, and lemon juice over the fish, and transfer the skillet to the oven.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
