In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, white sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix together until the apples are evenly coated.
Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust, and dot with butter.
Cover with the other pie crust, and pinch the edges closed.
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
Cool before serving.
