Ingredients
1 cup of butter
1 1/2 cups of light brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of salted peanuts
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, stirring until it is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the butter mixture until well blended.
Spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the peanuts and chocolate chips over the top. Press down lightly with a spoon.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
