Ingredients
- 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
- 1 (20 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the crushed pineapple with juice. Sprinkle the cake mix over the pineapple.
- Spread the cherry pie filling over the cake mix.
- Pour the melted butter over the top of the cake and fillings.
- Sprinkle the chopped walnuts and shredded coconut (if using) over the top of the cake.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
