Ingredients
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 6 slices bread, cubed
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease.
- Spread the bread cubes in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with cooked sausage and shredded cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour egg mixture over the sausage and cheese in the baking dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
