Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 inch square pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the butter, flour, sugar and salt until crumbly.
Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, pecans and brown sugar until combined.
Pour the mixture over the crust and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Pecan pie bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
The traditional pecan pie bars recipe calls for corn syrup, but you can also substitute with maple syrup or honey for a different flavor.
