Ingredients

  • 2 large red onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the onions, lime juice, sugar, and salt. Mix well until the onions are well-coated.
  2. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic, jalapeno, cilantro, and cumin. Mix well.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
