These pinwheels are made with a buttery puff pastry filled with a mixture of cheddar cheese, spinach, and spices. They are rolled up, sliced, and baked until golden and delicious. Perfect for game day, picnics, or any gathering where you want to serve something impressive but easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of chopped spinach, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread the cheddar cheese evenly over the puff pastry.
  4. Top with the cooked spinach, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Starting at one end, roll up the puff pastry tightly, like a jelly roll.
  6. Slice the roll into 1/2 inch thick pinwheels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
