Ingredients
- 1/2 pound bacon, diced
- 1 cup diced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup oysters, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 3 cups dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, combine the mushrooms, onion, celery, oysters, butter, garlic powder, thyme, and pepper. Cook and stir for 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the parsley, bread crumbs, and chicken broth. Stir until the mixture is wet. Remove from the heat and let cool.
- Stir in the bacon and transfer the stuffing to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
