Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced carrot
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup canned water chestnuts, diced
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 head lettuce, leaves separated

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the turkey and cook for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the turkey is cooked through.
  4. Stir in the water chestnuts and green onions. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the lettuce leaves. Serve warm.
