- 4 pounds pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 8 hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to make a dry rub.
- Rub the dry rub all over the pork shoulder, making sure to coat the entire surface.
- Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and cover with foil.

- Using two forks, shred the pork shoulder into pulled pork.
