Ingredients

  • 2 lb venison roast
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Rub the mixture all over the venison roast, making sure to cover all sides.
  3. Place the roast in a roasting pan and cook for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature of the roast reaches 140 degrees F.
  4. Remove the roast from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing into thin slices.
  5. Serve the slices on sandwiches, in wraps, or on their own.
