Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup chopped kale
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups cooked penne pasta
  • 3 cups shredded cheese (such as sharp cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and carrots and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the diced ham and kale and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, black pepper, and salt and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the cooked penne, cheese, and cream.
  6. Transfer the pasta mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot.
