Ingredients

  • 1 cup Arborio rice
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, almond extract, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the mixture is thick and creamy.
  3. Stir in the almonds, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
