Ingredients

  • 4 slices of rye bread
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices of corned beef
  • 1/4 cup of sauerkraut, drained

Directions

  1. Spread one side of the slices of bread with butter.
  2. Place a slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of two slices of bread.
  3. Top the cheese with a slice of corned beef and a tablespoon of sauerkraut.
  4. Top the sandwich with the remaining slices of cheese and bread, buttered side up.
  5. Place the sandwiches on a hot grill or over a campfire and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
