Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, add the milk, cream, and sugar and heat over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  2. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and add the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the mixture into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and let it cool for about 30 minutes.
  4. Once the mixture is cold, pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Once the ice cream is done, transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
