Ingredients

  • 1 cup of long-grain white rice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Place the rice and cinnamon sticks in a blender and pulse until the rice is broken into small pieces.
  2. Add the water and blend for 5 minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large bowl.
  3. Add the condensed milk, sugar, and vanilla extract to the strained mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Chill the horchata for at least an hour before serving.
