Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
Add the ground beef and cook, stirring and breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and kidney beans and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes.
