Tofu-Fries with Sesame

Ingredients

  • 1 block of extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Drain and press the tofu for at least 15 minutes. Cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the cubed tofu and mix to coat.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry until golden and crispy, about 8 minutes.
  4. Add the sesame seeds and fry for another 2 minutes, stirring to make sure the tofu is evenly coated with the sesame seeds.
  5. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
