Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 1/2 cup of grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a combination of both)
  • 1/2 cup of sliced vegetables (such as bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, or zucchini)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Spread the melted butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place the slices of bread butter-side-down in the pan and cook until lightly toasted.
  4. Sprinkle the grated cheese on one slice of bread and top with the vegetables.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Top with the other slice of bread, butter-side-up.
  7. Cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the pan and cut in half.
