Ingredients

  • 1 brisket, 4-5 pounds
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups wood chips

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, dry mustard, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Rub the mixture all over the brisket, making sure it is evenly coated.
  3. Place the brisket in a shallow baking dish and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. When ready to cook, preheat the smoker to 250 degrees F.
  5. Add the wood chips to the smoker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Place the brisket in the smoker and cook for 5-6 hours or until the internal temperature of the meat is 200 degrees F.
  7. Remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
