Ingredients

  • 1 pound tuna (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. If using fresh tuna, cut into 1/4 inch cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, panko, green onions, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger, sriracha, pepper, salt, and egg. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into 8 cakes.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cakes and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes per side.
  5. Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
