Ingredients
- 4 pounds pork ribs
- 1 cup gochujang (Korean red chili pepper paste)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions, for garnish
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and toasted sesame seeds. Mix well to make a smooth marinade.
- Place the pork ribs in a large baking dish or pan. Pour the marinade over the ribs, making sure they are fully coated. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- Place the ribs in the preheated oven and let them cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
- While the ribs are cooking, prepare the grill. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and transfer them to the preheated grill. Brush the ribs with vegetable oil to prevent sticking to the grill.
- Grill the ribs for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are nicely charred and caramelized. Baste the ribs with the remaining marinade as they cook.
- Once the ribs are done grilling, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute.
- Slice the ribs into individual pieces. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
- Enjoy the delicious Spicy Korean Ribs with steamed rice or kimchi fried rice for a complete meal.
