Ingredients

  • 4 pounds pork ribs
  • 1 cup gochujang (Korean red chili pepper paste)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and toasted sesame seeds. Mix well to make a smooth marinade.
  3. Place the pork ribs in a large baking dish or pan. Pour the marinade over the ribs, making sure they are fully coated. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  4. Place the ribs in the preheated oven and let them cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
  5. While the ribs are cooking, prepare the grill. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Remove the ribs from the oven and transfer them to the preheated grill. Brush the ribs with vegetable oil to prevent sticking to the grill.
  7. Grill the ribs for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are nicely charred and caramelized. Baste the ribs with the remaining marinade as they cook.
  8. Once the ribs are done grilling, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute.
  9. Slice the ribs into individual pieces. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
  10. Enjoy the delicious Spicy Korean Ribs with steamed rice or kimchi fried rice for a complete meal.
