Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder

Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute more.
Add chickpeas, tomatoes, and red pepper and bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add cilantro and almonds and cook for 5 minutes more.
Serve over a bed of couscous or rice.
