This Pecos Pasta with Spicy Tomato Sauce combines the bold flavors of cumin, chili powder, and jalapenos with hearty ground beef and tender pasta. It's a perfect dish for those who love a little heat in their meals, while still being comforting and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can green chilies
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 jalapeno, diced
  • 8 oz pasta of choice
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is soft.
  2. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, green chilies, cumin, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and jalapeno. Simmer for 15 minutes.
