Ingredients
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch, chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until shrimp is just cooked through. Remove shrimp from pan and set aside.
- Add the sauce mixture to the pan and bring to a boil. Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened and coats the shrimp.
- Serve with cooked rice or noodles, garnish with green onions, and enjoy!
