Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs. beef, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 can coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
Directions
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef cubes and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the fish sauce, black pepper, cumin, coriander, and turmeric and stir to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the coconut milk and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the lime juice and simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve garnished with cilantro.
