Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt; stir into the batter until well blended.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, mix together the 1/2 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon; sprinkle this mixture over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
