Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 (8-ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 pound spaghetti
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in oregano, red pepper flakes, diced tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in parsley and remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread half of the marinara sauce in the bottom of an 8-inch square baking dish.
- Layer half of the spaghetti on top. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining spaghetti, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
- Pour remaining marinara sauce over the top and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
