Ingredients
1 kg of diced lamb
2 onions, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons of cumin
2 teaspoons of paprika
2 teaspoons of ground ginger
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of black pepper
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
1 cup of red wine
1 cup of beef stock
1/2 cup of honey
1/2 cup of Shiraz
Directions
In a large pot, heat some oil over medium-high heat and add the diced lamb. Cook for about 5 minutes until the lamb is browned.
Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 3 minutes.
Add the cumin, paprika, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the tomato paste, red wine, beef stock, honey and Shiraz and stir to combine.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
Serve with some cooked rice or couscous.
