Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked wild rice
- 1/2 cup cooked polenta
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh thyme
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked wild rice, cooked polenta, Parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, oregano, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Mix together until everything is well combined.
- Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
- Remove the burgers from the skillet and let them cool for a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs and walnuts.
- Coat the burgers with the bread crumb mixture.
- Return the burgers to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, flipping once, until the burgers are golden brown and crispy.
