Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 pounds collard greens, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until it is crisp.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the collard greens to the pot and stir to combine.
- Add the chicken broth and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the collard greens are tender.
- Serve warm.
