Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of cold water
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup of chopped vegetables such as carrots, celery, mushrooms, onions, etc.

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour and salt. Slowly pour in the cold water and mix until a dough forms.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it's about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into 2-inch circles using a biscuit cutter or a glass.
  4. Place a teaspoon of the chopped vegetables in the center of each circle.
  5. Fold the dough in half and pinch the edges together to seal the filling inside.
  6. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Gently place the dumplings in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
