Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups sesame seeds
- 1 cup raisins
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
- In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Gradually stir the sifted ingredients into the batter.
- Mix in the sesame seeds and raisins. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
