Ingredients

  • 4 (6-ounce) tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (10-ounce) package frozen green beans, thawed
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and season with the garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Drizzle the olive oil over the fillets and place them in the hot skillet.
  3. Cook the fillets for 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  4. While the fish is baking, place the green beans in a medium saucepan and add the chicken broth. Bring the broth to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the beans are tender.
  5. Remove the skillet from the oven and top the fish with the lemon juice. Divide the fish and green beans among 4 plates and serve.
