Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 pound linguine, cooked according to package instructions

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and garlic and cook for 2 minutes, or until the shrimp is cooked through.
  2. Add the red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, chicken broth, cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and parsley. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat to low.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. Add the cooked linguine and toss to combine.
  4. Serve the shrimp-linguine Alfredo with extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
