In a large bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves. Beat in the eggs. Add the pumpkin and evaporated milk. Mix until smooth.
In a small bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pie crust.
Pour the pumpkin mixture into the crust.
Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool before serving.
