Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound catfish, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes, paprika, thyme, and oregano and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the flour and stir until it's evenly mixed with the vegetables. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the chicken broth, tomato sauce, and wine and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes.
