Ingredients

  • 1 block extra-firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add tofu and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili paste and stir to combine.
  4. Add vegetable broth and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add almonds and green onion and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm over cooked rice or noodles.
