Ingredients

  • 1 lb. salmon fillet, skin and bones removed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon freshly chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon freshly chopped green onions
  • 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine the salmon, garlic, ginger, fish sauce, sesame oil, cilantro and green onions.
  2. Process until the mixture is well combined, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Transfer the salmon mixture to a bowl and add in the panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Mix until well combined.
  5. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a plate.
  6. Heat the canola oil in a large skillet over medium heat, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the salmon balls, in batches, and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Transfer the cooked salmon balls to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
