Ingredients
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon of butter
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder until it is completely blended.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the pudding comes to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and butter.
- Pour into individual serving dishes or a large bowl.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
